House rabbits (those that live full time indoors rather than outside full time or a mix of the two) are happier, healthier, more socialized and much safer. Indoor rabbits are less exposed to diseases and parasites, and are protected from weather and predators. Even if the predators cannot actually get to the rabbit, it is quite terrifying to be stalked, especially for prey animals such as rabbits. In terms of pellets I do 2 times a day morning and night along with veggies.

If you are choosing between food for indoors rabbits and outdoors rabbits, it’s reasonable to think that outdoors rabbits need a bit more energy,  since they need to keep warm during the cold season. They will also grow more fur. If they live in a big enclosure, they may be more active digging etc than indoors rabbits are.

Outdoors rabbits will get more UV sunshine on them, reducing their need for vitamin D in their diet.

So  in short, the nutritional requirements varies a bit between outdoors and indoors rabbits.

I give pellets twice per day. Rabbits love their pellets so much, it’s nice to give them that happiness twice per day and not just one 😄

I agree with Bam- rabbits adore their pellets. My girl steps all over my feet, runs in circles around me, jumps back in forth, and sometimes binkies in excitement as I’m dishing her pellets. I’ve started taking her water bowl off the ground before I dish her pellets because she knocks it over in the middle of her pellet dance lol

I’m not sure what you mean about indoor/outdoor pellets but maybe someone else can help with that. With two rabbits it can help to give them each their own pellet bowl, and keep them to their own bowls. Yes you would likely feed more pellets with two rabbits, each rabbit would get a proper amount for their weight.

If they sell an indoor rabbit formula, then I would suggest going with that one. The outdoor formula likely has extra calories, etc. to help rabbits maintain body heat when living outdoors. Since you are planning on having house bunnies, there would be no need to provide them with more than their bodies need.

You can feed 2 bunnies together or separate. It really depends on the bunnies though. Some are good about sharing and everyone gets enough to eat. Others… not so much. So you would need to wait until you have your bunnies before you can determine whether or not they can be fed together or if they need to be separated.
