It’s not a stupid question, of course! A bun’s skull has various grooves and ridges, so maybe its just her normal bone structure you are feeling? Both sides of the head should feel roughly the same. Weird molt lines will appear on buns when they shed, but are more easily recognized as molt lines in buns that have different colors of gurd hair and wool. With an all white bun, its less easy to tell, but there will still be visibly uneven shedding/regrowth of hair.
I’m think this is sth normal you are feeling, but here are some pointers about lumps:
Bad lumps tend to grow in size, so thats one thing to keep an eye on. Try to make an rather precise estimate of its size if you can’t measure it, and write down your finding. (This is because its impossible to remember and its so annoying to wonder if its gotten bigger or if its just your imagination. Been there!)
Is the lump hard or soft? Can it be moved? Does she react with a pain response when you touch it? Obviously check for seepage etc.
It is good to give your bun head rubs to familiarise yourself with the shape of the skull, its obviously varies a bit between different buns. That way you’ll notice if sth some day suddenly isn’t right. Buns also tend to really like head rubs.
