  Hey everyone,
  
  What is the best rabbit bedding in the litter box especially for lionhead.
  
  Mine has paper bedding from care brand,but looks like he is eating it a bit. I’m not sure its safe given yesterday gas trouble issues,I want to make sure I have right bedding for him.
  
  Pls provide any suggestions

  I would tried something like Yesterday’s News (paper pellets), horse stall pellets (pine pellets) or wood stove pellets (plain, no accelerant).

  Also something that would me more comfy for your lionhead’s feet is aspen wood shavings. DO NOT get pine wood shavings, these are really bad for rabbits, but aspen is just fine. I have a lionhead, and aspen is what I use, it works great!! 🙂

  I do pine pellets with a nice fluffy hay layer on top so give them something soft to stand on.

  I would recommend a litter screen to separate litter from fur as much as possible. I use a plastic mesh used for knitting, 7-count hole size.

  Is that mesh comfortable for their feet though? I’m always paranoid about sore hocks with my bun.

  Litter screens usually sit on top of the litter. I use one from the BB store, never had a problem.
