My rabbit chewed through the bottom of the couch and got inside from underneath and the Google results for keeping a bunny out of the couch mostly focused on keeping them off it. So I’m just posting this hoping that it will provide a good idea for someone else that needs to secure the bottom of a sofa. We essentially got enough plywood to cover the bottom, cut it where needed on the corner to fit our couch, and nailed the pieces in. You could also screw them but this worked for our needs. You can also see a bit if our storage cube wall protector in the first photo. Oh bunnies, how do I love thee 😀

My bunnies share a bedroom with me and we don’t have a couch in the bedroom, but if I ever get one, I will definitely try this if the two little mischief-makers start chewing it. Ahh, the extents we go to for our bunnies. If they weren’t so cute and precious, they’d be harder to forgive.

I suggest doing this before you have a problem… We didn’t know he was doing it and he cost me $300 in stasis treatment, not to mention the stress of having a sick bunny!

Oh no! I will definitley try that out if/when i get a couch, I might try with thick cardboard first and then see if there’s a problem.
