I just got two bunnies on Sunday. They were both neutered last week on Wednesday. Pink is about 1 year and 5 months old. Muffin is about 5 years old. Since Muffin was neutered very late in life, does this affect his lifespan? I’ve heard that unneutered rabbits don’t live as long as neutered rabbits. He’s a Flemish giant (probably mixed with something else) if that changes anything. How long is it estimated he would live? I just want to take care of them the best I can. Thanks.

The shorter life expectancy for intact rabbits mainly applies to females because of the high cancer rate. Males can get testicular cancer, but it’s fairly rare. So Muffin should be just fine. 🙂
