I have three cats. All three have been in my room since I’ve had the bunnies (I always have the door closed, but I let them see each other a couple times because the buns are used to being around other animals like cats).

One of my cats just came in for the third time since I’ve had the bunnies. He was scared the first time he came in but then was curious. So he was just curious about the bunnies. He sniffed at Pinky from like 20 inches away. Pinky was sitting in his litter box in his pen eating some hay. He then hopped out and walked toward my cat. He sniffed through the bars (they didn’t get very close) then looked at him a bit and turned around in the same spot then peed in that corner… He hasn’t been aggressive or scared of him before. He was curious before. I’m assuming he was telling my cat that this is his territory.

I want my cats to be able to come into my room whenever they want eventually, like they did before the bunnies. By the way, after Pinky peed he walked to the other side of his pen and flopped. I’m getting mixed signals here. I changed his blanket and wiped the spot with some vinegar and water. He’s fine now just laying down looking like a loaf of bread. My cat also sniffed his pee… Animals communicate strangely.
