  I only got my two buns on Sunday but while I clean their pens I can smell the territorial onion poops, which is now stuck in my nose. I can leave the room and go downstairs, I still think I smell the onion poops. I’m sitting in bed right now, I shouldn’t be able to smell them from here (they are housed in my bedroom) but my nose thinks I can. If I even smell something else my nose thinks it’s the onion poops… Does anyone else get this??? Lmao. I sniff myself to see if the smell gets stuck to me but I smell normal. What is happening ?

  Looks like you are going to go through the pee and poop wars. Been there, done that. Do you have a fan in your room? Maybe you could leave the fan on? It gets better when they start developing a bond but until then… *dry laugh*… well, it is the same. I don’t have my rabbits in my room, so when they were truly horrible I would leave the fan on, and escape to a place with good air.
  
  I would recommend air fresheners, but I don’t know if they are okay with rabbits. Maybe essential oils? I don’t know if either is okay, just putting it out there.

  @HipHopBunny Thanks for the sympathy lol! I have an ac in here so I try to keep the air moving, I don’t smell anything right now but I just woke up from a nap lol. Im not sure if that stuff is safe either, I’m trying to avoid super smelly stuff even though it might cover up the scent… Good to know that others have gone through this as well! Although I wish none of us had to lol.

  The first day or two I had Lola, I had a few bouts of onion poops too, I just opened the window and had the fan circulating the air to the window, the smell can be pretty bad, but hopefully it dies down soon as well as your new bunnies’ hormones, because as I recall, they were recently neutered.

  @Louiethebunny Thanks! Yeah I hope so too. It might just be the hormones.
