Our rabbit is now a hormonal and moody teenager (5 months, doctor said to spay in a couple months). She’s free roam and gets the living room to herself, but tries to make a dash for our bedroom whenever the door is open, where she hides under the bed or jumps on top of it and tries to claim it. We were thinking of giving her her own space, such as putting her in her cage at night, so that she is not always fighting with us for space (e.g. she bites us when we sit on the couch because she thinks its hers). Would this be effective for the time being until she can be spayed? Any ideas about how to give her her own private space?

        Thanks!

I think that sounds like a good idea, potentially an x-pen in the corner of the living room where she has her litter box, water bowl, etc. I do think most bunnies like having their own space, even after spaying.

I now have two bunnies, but back when I only had Louie and allowed him to free roam our room, (my bedroom) he would have his food and water bowls in his xpen along with litter box and some toys, and then he would use that as his home base and he would run around the rest of the room for fun, but ever since he started bed peeing we had to have supervised time only, and now with two bunnies they live in separate enclosures for now with separate playtime. I also had Louie free roaming at night because he wouldn’t get onto my bed while I was sleeping, so when my two buns are bonded I plan to continues that. Agree with @dananm, most rabbits like their own little space whether it be a corner with their stuff, an xpen, large dog crate, etc.
