I’ve had rabbits for the better part of 10 years. But Tater Tot is my first very VERY tiny bunny. And this question may sound dumb but I’m going to ask it anyway.

He is on a mix of Oxbow Young Rabbit and Manna Pro (what the shelter had him on) but the pellets seem too big if that makes sense. I might be overthinking this but they just look too big for him!

Can food be too big? HA!

I was also wondering about thoughts on Sweet Meadow Farms. I used to feed it mixed with Oxbow but that was a long long time ago and I’m not sure if it is still a good food.

Here he is showing off his fancy white paw for good measure.

So tiny! Very much a doppelganger to moderator Wick’s Wick!

I dont think pellets can be too big. Problems can arise with too small pellets, greedy rabbits can inhale small pellets and choke on them. In later years I’ve been giving my buns Fibafirst sticks (not available in the USA currently), they are 10 cm long and 1 cm wide, so they are really big in terms of pellets.

I am not familiar with Sweet Meadow Farms, I hope someone else here is!

@Bam He looks almost identical to Wick!

I’ve unfortunately had Joey choke on pellets that were too small for her.

The Manna Pro pellets just look big compared to him I guess. He’s almost switched over to Oxbow fully now.

I was able to find some older posts about Sweet Meadow Farms and it doesn’t look like anything has changed so I am going to mix those with Oxbow.

A few of my UK friends feed Fibrafirst sticks and seem to really like them. You can get them here in the US on amazon but it is like $30 shipping so I’m going to stick with pellets for now. Lol.
