  My rabbit fur is quiet different. It looks like he is wearing a coat on top of his fur. Is this a winter coat or his normal colors? He’s still young at 7 months old. Also, how do you tend to a rabbits fur when they are shedding a lot? I do brush him twice or three times a week.

  It’s just a molting pattern, so that’s normal. Give him a good brush everyday. The best thing to do is pull the loose pieces of fur out. A good trick is to lint roll him. It’ll get off all the fur left from plucking him.

  Yes, as A&B says, this is a molting pattern. Rabbits can look very raggedy when they molt. Brushing is very good, since he is a normal-haired bun and not a lionhead-head type, you could finish off by lint-rolling him, to catch all those hairs that wouldn’t stick to the brush. This reduces the amount of fur that otherwise gets in your mouth and food and on your clothes.
  
  Some buns benefit from a few sunflower seeds daily during an extra heavy molt.

  maybe brush him once a day
  
  (I’ve never owned a rabbit but have researched them A LOT)
