Hi everyone I’m new to this forum and I was just wondering what’s the long term effects of having a bunny with a pinched hindquarter. I currently have a happy 3yr old holland lop named Chestnut. I got him fixed the end of last year and I’ve been thinking about getting him a friend. He spends lots of time free roaming, interacting with me, my sister and my boyfriend and he has his moments of binking and “zooming” from room to room until he gets tired. But there are times when I think that another rabbit will make him happier in terms of social interaction and whenever we’re all working he won’t feel lonely. (I’m just drawing that conclusion from noticing how chews his cardboard box’s and hiding huts more often. Compared to when we were home during quarantine he was more interested in interacting with us. Which I completely do not care if he want chew his toys or boxes because he’s a rabbit; I just don’t want him to be lonely from our schedules changing)
There’s a rabbit breeder that has one bunny left out of the last batch that she bred and he has a pinched hindquarter. Can anyone give me more info about it; long term effects; would he need any sort of special care; would that affect him if I got him fixed in the future; and do I have to do vet visits for his condition if I decided to get him? (I was trying to research it but it was giving me info based on showing standards).
