Hi I am possibly getting 2 4-5 year old American rabbits in 2-3 years and I was wondering about their personality.

It’s hard to know a rabbit’s personality beforehand. While I believe American rabbits are known to be sweet, it really boils down to the individual rabbit. It’s good to meet with a rabbit before taking it home, as you can get a “test” of what he/she will act like.

I agree with @Louiethebunny. You may read or hear about generalizations about rabbits based on their breed, but in actuality those “trends” don’t really do much when it comes down to individual rabbits. They are very often wrong, as how a rabbit is raised and the rabbit’s environment is much more influential than their breed. The same goes in terms of generalizations made from rabbit sex, size, etc.. It is very much based on the individual rabbit themselves, rather than dictated by their breed.
