  My rabbit has recently discovered how to get up and down off my bed, and he has been leaving little poops on it a lot, and has peed on it once. He is pretty good with the litter box but now his litter box skills arent so steady? I’ve tried nudging him off the bed while saying the command off, but now he thinks it’s a game and hops right back up. Is there a way to stop him from getting on the bed or stop peeing/pooping there? He is an 8 mo neutered male.

  sounds like my couch issue, I sadly have no great advice, I have just made it off limits until I figure it out, used a x-pen like a fence. You could toss a tarp or plastic shower curtain liner over your bed, he probably won’t like the feel of it on his feet and if and accident happens easy clean up.

  i hope so too! I’m thinking of buying a tablecloth/shower curtain of some sort to put over my bed when I’m gone so if he does pee or leave droppings, it doesn’t get into my sheets and such, hopefully I can train him out of this behavior.

  Maybe after a bit they will just feel like they put their mark on it and chill? I saw a youtube video by Lennon the Bunny on stopping peeing on bed. It wasn’t helpful for my couch situation as much, but maybe it would have some idea for you to try? Sorry don’t have link handy right now, but should be easy enough to find.

  I’ve seen some ppl put a shower curtain under another blanket, which blocks some of the smell that triggers the marking and makes cleanup easier.

  I’ve put a mattress protector (ones for little kids who wet the bed), on my mattress, and hopefully, he will grow out of this, but if not, I’ll take some more action.

  This may seem gross, but I used to put a little (clean!) litter box on the actual furniture when Baby Beau was up there in case he felt….inspired. I guess it’s not as gross as actual pee and poop in your bed.
  
  Anyway, now there is no need to carry tiny litter boxes around….it could also bee because it’s now part of “his” space? That could be the issue…maybe get some old comforters and throw them over the sofa/bed, and just encourage them to hang out and make it part of their territory?
