        Hi there!!

I have an around 8 month old holland lop, and she started acting sort of funny today. And by funny I mean she acts like she’s seen a ghost. My family and I bought her some new food bowls yesterday but she didn’t seem to mind either of those so I’m not sure what it is. Tonight, we got home after being at a place with a dog. I went to check on her and I picked her up pet her like she likes it. After I put her down she began thumping super loudly and darting around the pen to avoid me. I changed my clothes in case it was the smell of dog but that made no change in her behavior. I’m really worried about her. I can’t even walk in the same room without her freaking out and going crazy. Any clue what I can do? I’m open to any suggestions.

It could still be the scent of the dog, if you didn’t shower or completely cleanse yourself of the scent, it could be the smell of the predator.

I’m guessing it was the smell of the dog too. For now it’s best to leave her alone, try to remove anything that smells like the dog from her area, and let her calm down.

A few weeks ago a similar thing happened with my bunny Myra, where I left my cat’s bed near the entrance of her condo, and she was super spooked by it, even though she is used to our cat.

Thanks for your help!! I went and changed and showered and left her alone for quite a while and she’s back to normal now.
