Ughhh I’m so sorry you are going through this. 🙁
Unfortunately your ordeal really reminds me of what happened with my boy Moose. He was only 1-2 years old, but had a rotten molar that caused an abscess. We treated that and then he needed another molar extraction… his teeth were just rotting and fracturing.
I don’t want to alarm you or cause you to panic, but my Moose suddenly passed away after a few months of dealing with his teeth. He was always in very good spirits and recovered from his dental procedures so well, it was a shock to all of us. He seemed to be having trouble breathing the night he passed away. The vet did a necropsy and couldn’t find anything obviously wrong. I suspected it might be bone cancer, because bone cancer can manifest in the jaw first, and does occasionally occur in younger rabbits. I have no actual proof of this, as we didn’t suspect any cancers early enough to do any diagnostics.
All of that said, Lion heads are prone to dental problems it seems. So I would recommend doing the biopsy and going from there so you know for sure. Try not to panic too much, as it could just be she has icky teeth.
