Today I was sitting around as my bun had some free roam time, and he went completely crazy! he was zooming around and running very fast and acting super wild. I have two concerns, is this a “happy fun” behavior? And I’m also worried he will slip and hurt himself doing this, I have wood floors and I do have a rug he binkies on, but I’m worried when he zooms around the wood he could slip and hurt himself? should I invest in a second rug for him to run around on?

I think he’s just being an energetic happy bunny. My rabbits run around all the time when they have free roam time, as for the wood floors, not sure. My rabbits can’t walk on my wood floors.  Did he seem to be having trouble on the floor while he was running around? How big is your rug?

I’ve witnessed a few mishaps before. Slick floors and crazy bunnies don’t always mix well. I would suggest getting another rug… preferably one that isn’t going to slide around on the floor. We actually purchased a super long runner to go from the rabbit room to the big rug in the living room. Everything else is hot lava. 😉

Ok, a new rug seems like a good idea. Happy to know he’s just being energetic. He’s not afraid of wood flooring which is pretty lucky, but I don’t want him sliding around so I will get a new rug or mat to fill up some more floor space.
