soon enough i’ll be needing to clip my bunny’s nails and groom him a bit, how can I make him sit still? he’s only been with me for three weeks, so he’s not super used to me, but is there a way to keep him in one place?

I always ask another person for help. The other person sits the bun in his lap, the benny’s back against his belly, much like the bun is sitting on a chair. Then I do the clipping. Some buns are willing to take a small (very small, f ex one sunflower seed) treat between each nail, but some buns are too stressed out to take a treat.

The bun may need to be burritoed. That means you wrap the bun in a blanket, somewhat tightly. A tight-ish wrap has a calming effect on a bin, it’s the same principle by which a thunder shirt for dogs work. If you have help holding him, the helper can put one of his hands over the bun’s eyes, this too tends to have a calming effect.

I know some people place their bun on a table for nail clipping. It’s not sth I’ve tried myself. Hopefully you’ll get more tips from other members!

Ok, i’ll try giving him a pellet or something to keep him in one spot, and I’ll hold him so he cant escape.
