Recently me and my boyfriend have noticed our rabbit flopping in a weird way. Usually she will just lay down and stretch out. But instead she has been like dramatically flopping completely on her side, usually against a wall.  After a couple seconds she will stretch out into a normal lounging position. She has been running around and acting behaving normally otherwise. Can someone please explain/ confirm this is normal, or if I should be concerned. I have tried getting a pic/ video but it is so spontaneous that is has been hard.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. Sometimes they will just flop on the floor from a standing position.

It sounds normal to me too. It can look bit crazy, but it’s sth they do when they feel at ease and are happy.

A good video of flops – for reference. Is this what she’s doing?

(I don’t know how this owner managed to film so many!!  I did notice in one, he does the little digging motion before he flops. That can sometime be a cue that they are about to do one. But I never have a camera handy)
