I’ve had my sweet boy for 6 years, we’ve been through some stuff. But now he’s acting weird towards me. He has his own bedroom, a ton of toys, a tiger skin rug (fake) and plenty of food and gets treats twice a day. He has the run of the house and even a three story high rise I built him. I pet him as much as I can, a few times a day, and he’s not aggressive at all. He’s recently been turning his back to me and his eyes are always wet when I pet him. I tried bonding him to another bun but he always freaks out. We’ve been a two man band for years and I’m not sure if something is wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hmmm, any other physical symptoms? My thoughts always go to discomfort when buns are acting off.  Pooping and eating all normal?

What have you been trying in terms of working to bond him to another bun?

A change in behaviour may be the only clue we get that something is amiss healthwise. If his eyes are wet, you may want vet to do eye pressure test, check the tear drainage ducts and probably do a dental check also.

Perhaps he has had some vision loss? I recall my lop (now passed) had what seemed an overnight change in behaviour around this age. He lost some confidence. He did regain full confidence once he became accustomed to lower vision and I made a small change to their living area.
