I thought it would be fun to introduce my bunnies. I am going to start with Shadoe, who is my first bunny. She is a Polish doe who was born December 22, 2016. She was pretty shy at first, but she is very friendly now. She is bonded to Bolt. I will try to post a picture of her but when I try it says the photo is too big or not allowed. Questions welcome!

I neglected to mention that Shadoe was adopted on April 6, 2017.

Did you try renaming the file? I did that and I was able to finally get it to upload

What great names! If the picture is too big, you can easily resize it in Paint. If you are still having issues, feel free to DM me, and I can try uploading it for you.

                  Bolt:

Bolt is a Dutch buck. I don’t know when he was born because I rescued him. We celebrate his birthday on November 23. He has always been friendly and he loves being petted, but he HATES being picked up. He is bonded to Shadoe. I adopted him on May 8, 2018.

                    Bolt’s rescue story:

One day, I took Shadoe with me to do a presentation about her. When I brought her carrier into one room, a little girl asked me if I would be interested in another bunny. It turns out, the bunny had been found by a neighbor and was offered to the girl’s family. He was so fast that they named him Bolt. I renamed him Thunderbolt, but I call him Bolt for short. The girl had had him for two years, and her family felt like he wasn’t getting enough attention. He was living in a approximately 1 1/2 by 2 1/2 cage, and he only got to play about once a week outside of his cage. However, the cage was clean, and he had food and water. I don’t remember if he had hay. I met him at a park and took him home that same day. I am NOT trying to make it seem like it was the girl’s fault. Most people don’t know that bunnies need a lot of hay and a lot of exercise. This post is about how Bolt came into my family.

                      Eeyore:

Eeyore is a Mini Lop buck. His birthday is sometime in March 2018. His previous owners were going to name him Sterling, but Eeyore is a much better name for a grumpy bunny who is grey with droopy ears. He loves attention and is the mellowest bunny in my family. He was also rescued, but he has a much different story than Bolt. I am hoping to get another bunny to bond to him because he and Bolt do NOT get along. If I can’t, I will try harder with bonding all three of my bunnies.

                        Eeyore’s rescue story:

Once upon a time I was looking at bunnies on Craigslist. I saw an ad for two bunnies and clicked on it. It turned out that the buck was a neutered mini lop. There was also a doe, but by the time I contacted the owner, she had been sold. We drove for about an hour to pick him up, and when we got there the owner opened the back of their van. And there was Eeyore. He was much bigger than I expected, and I loved him immediately. He had hay, a bowl of water, and a container for pellets. He was in a cage, and it was 2 x 2. When I got home, I put his cage in the pen and let him get used to his surroundings, especially the two balls of fluff who were trying to sniff him. He now has his own pen and is very happy. Again, NOT trying to blame the owners for not knowing that bunnies need lots of exercise. His adoption was November 28, 2018.

They all sound precious. Eeyore is stealing my heart a little bit over the interwebs
