I can’t seem to find scenarios similar to what happened to my Lop today. She never likes me holding her but I had to pick her up to put her back in her crate and she flew out of my arms and landed horribly on the hardwood floor. She’s jumped from me several times and has never had an issue but when she landed I think she fell on her back and her head almost was paralyzed in a tilt for what felt like forever but was probably about 30 seconds. I picked her up to settle her and she hopped around like normal after and is eating/drinking normally now and her head is not tilted anymore.

Do I need to take her to a vet? I’m so incredibly worried, this has never happened with my bunnies before and I’m just so worried that she’s hurt.

          Hi Sarah,

          Oh dear

I do recommend you have her examined by the vet in case she injured her neck or spine. Rabbit spinal injuries happen somewhat frequently, so it would be good to make sure she is OK. How long ago did this happen?

In the future, I recommend setting up her area so she can come and go from her crate without being picked up.
