I have a female mixed breed bunny who I bought from Pets at Home just over a year ago, she was 8 weeks when I bought her. She is not speyed yet (booked in for next month). She has never had any health issues before. Always happy, plenty exercise, loves to binky about, loves to be petted and groomed, well fed diet of Timothy hay, kale in the evenings, plenty water and the occasional treat. She is housed with a neutered male lionhead who I’ve had for almost 2 years and was also 8 weeks when I bought him. They get on like a house on fire, never fight and love to play and run around together. I’ve come home from work tonight and my partner has pointed out that she has a lump on her neck (under her chin) which wasn’t there last night when their cage was changed. I’ve had a closer inspection and it doesn’t seem to be bothering her, so she’s not showing any pain, its currently quite soft, she’s not pulling away when we pick her up or try touch it, she’s still playing happily with Dexter, she’s still got a very healthy appetite and is drinking plenty water. She is currently lying flopped out in her cage after a long run and play around our living room. Is it something I should be concerned about? Like I say, neither bun has had any previous health issues and all checkups with the vets have gone fine!

Does the lump move, or does it stay in place? It’s very observant to notice it, as many people do not check the face very intimately, and early detection of anything is always better than later.
