My rabbit has had sticky bum for 3-4 months now and I have tried to put him on hay only for a few days in the past but the sticky poo returned as soon as I reintroduced the pellets.

This time I want to alter his diet for a longer period and I think using a probiotic to start will be really helpful to get his tummy back to normal.

Can anyone recommend what the best or most common brand of probiotics are for sticky bum? I’m looking online but there’s that many brands I don’t know where to start!

Also I’m not sure if the syringe type or the type you add to water is better?

        Thanks guys

A lot of people, myself included use Benebac, It’s really wonderful, and they’ll usually take it right from your finger.

If this issue was fine off pellets, keep him off pellets. Not every bunny can handle them.

I used Benebac with one of my previous bunnies. It’s the most common bunny probiotic, as far as I know.

Thanks guys. I don’t think the issue was pellets originally because he’s always had them and he’s nearly 3. I think something upset his stomach once and he has since had the sticky bum. So I’m hoping the probiotic will be a good way to fix this.

I’ll go with benebac! Thank you both
