        Hey

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on the best pellets for rabbits. I live in the UK and have always used pets at home brand pellets however I’d like to change and buy him a better brand.

Also he has been getting sticky bum quite a lot so preferably pellets that do not cause this would be great.

        Thanks

For adult rabbits, the lowest protein % and highest fiber % you can find are the best. Availability may vary from region to region, unless you order online. I’ve heard that Oxbow is a good brand.

Oh great! I’ll give them a try I’ve seen you can order them from Amazon.

Have you heard anything about Burgess Excel pellets atall? My mum bought him a pack of them the other day as the pets at home brand were out of stock but I’ve read a few dodgy reviews with regards to sticky bum?
            thanks

I haven’t heard much about the brand. Brand name doesn’t really matter; what matters is whats the tag. The ingredients and protein/fat/fiber % are what make a quality pellet. As long as the ones your mom bought are completely pellets, not one of those mixes that look like bunny lucky charms, they should be fine until they run out. Even if they aren’t ideal, your bun will be fine with them if you feed the right amount.
