Hello bun lovers. Does anyone have any advice on a good litter box? I understand that rabbits chew, but I keep buying the plastic ones, and there is literally no edges left to the sides to hold anything inside of it. Lol. Oscar has plenty of toys, etc, but it’s most fun to chew the litter boxes. I’ve heard the metal ones are not safe for bunnies. Is there anything I could put, or spray on the edges that is bunny safe but tastes awful?

Weird! I would think that you’ll just want to get the hardest plastic possible. I hadn’t thought about metal…hmmm.

Have you been trying cat litter pans so far?

I’ve used trays meant for bussing dishes with success. They are made of really hard and thick plastic, so I bet even the most industrious chewer would have a hard time.

I’m a fan of these also. They often have a wide, rounded edge that would be harder for a rabbit to chew at.

Usually found in kitchen or laundry department of a store. If you prefered metal, I know people have used deep roasting pans as litter trays. I don’t know why that wouldnt be safe. The pee reacting with the metal??

Thanks so much. I bought a tray for bussing dishes, and so far, so good. He has been trying like hell to chew through the edge, but he is having no luck. Ha!! I was buying the cheap plastic ones from Petco that clip in the corner. Get whatcha pay for, I guess. Thanks again for your advice.
