Hello everyone. I am returning the current couch I have and am getting one from a family member. It is coming from a home with a hypoallergenic dog. My only fear is that the smell of the dog will scare her. We just moved about 2 months again and she is still on edge. Is there any cleaning or anything I can do? Any advice thanks.

I moved into a house that has 3 dogs, and it really isn’t a big deal. The smell may bother her at first, but eventually she’ll get over it. You can spritz it with some vinegar and water to get rid of the smell if it has a strong odor.

I have a dog and and a rabbit. At first my new rabbit was a bit wary of the dog, he’d never lived with a dog before. Now he jumps over her like nothing and I often see them lying next to each other while my rabbit is eating hay on his Ikea bed.

So I agree with A&B. The scent may bother your bun a little bit to begin with, but she’ll get used to it. Especially since there is no actual dog.

Alright thanks guys. I’m just not sure ever sinced we moved from our apartment she hasn’t been the same she darts into her box if something moves to fast or if someone is to loud she never used to be like this. I adopted her and she has always been a very shy bunny but was finally comfortable then we moved and I just don’t know how to soothe her. So I’m afraid the smell of the dog will just frighten her more
