Hello there, I just noticed this darkish brown splatter on my wall underneath my desk and I’m not sure how long it’s been sitting there. I have female rabbit so is this her spraying? Right now she is not spayed as I am currently saving up the funds to afford the spay. I read that rabbit sprays should have an odor but this one didn’t when I stuck my nose to the wall to try & figure out what it was. It was also pretty sticky and had a tiny bit of a texture rather that a flat liquid spot you’d get from say a water stain or something.

Is it supposed to be sticky and smell like urine? Or did I manage to spill a drink and didn’t notice it got all over the wall under there.

I’m no expert but, I never heard of a female doing this. I have a female bun and she never did this. I got her at 8 weeks old and had her spayed at 5 months old, she is now a little over a year and has never sprayed, and only pee pees in her litter box.

Female rabbits can spray too. They don’t spray semen of course, but they do urine spray just like males do. It won’t smell if it’s been there a while either.
