This is my first time experiencing a bunny molt. It’s been going on for almost 2 weeks now and it’s still going strong. When will it end!?!? I don’t mind brushing her every day, but the amount of fur everywhere is driving me crazy!

My buns molts can take up to 2 months, it depends on the molt. If it’s shedding a thick coat, expect it to long long. It’s a long journey haha

2 weeks is nothing xD Wait till it’s been 2-3 months and you’re constantly rinsing out water bowls, lint rolling endlessly, and constantly sweeping. Then you pause for a month or so and do it all over again.

Oh man… NOT what I wanted to hear guys lol!

I had her for six months without any major molting like this, so I’m hoping this isn’t the new norm! I’ve always had cats so I’m used to shedding, but right now my bunny just nudges me for some pets and there’s a huge glob of fur attached to me. And the dry winter air doesn’t help… it makes the fur stick to me like a magnet!

Never…. It varies between rabbits, and I feel weather may affect it as well. I think last year, everyone’s rabbits had wonky, long molts.

On average, Wick’s molts last 2 months. Eh.

Same here, mine molt for about two months…. Feels like two years, lol. Don’t wear chapstick or lip gloss, it will stick to you.

The truest words ever spoken, LOL.

I’ve just learned to accept that it’s basically a never-ending cycle. I love my Roomba!

It highly depends on the bun indeed. My Muffin only molted lightly when I got her (she came from a barn into a warm home mid winter) and Monster shedded like a mad man for the whole summer. Every time he almost seemed to be over it, it would start again. ;__; They both have such different fur too, Muffins fur is more coarse and flat and Monster is very soft and his hairs stand up more straight.

I’m so glad my bun has very light molting, I use a Hair Buster comb I bought from this site and it’s the best. also my bun will let me use my small hand vacuum on her. my wife has a video of me vacuuming her on her facebook page, our bunny vet couldn’t believe until I showed her.
