So… No giggling if this is the most obvious thing ever!

I have got a really sore throat, kind of like tonsillitis symptoms.

Can my bunny get sick because of me? ?

It’s not a silly question. And it’s not at all obvious. Here’s some info from Small Pet Select: http://smallpetselect.com/can-my-rabbit-catch-my-cold/

So: Virus colds are not transmitted from people to rabbits. Bacterial colds most likely are not transmitted either, but it’s sensible to take normal precautions such as refraining from kissing your rabbit on the nose and washing you hands before you cuddle him.

Not silly at all! My Wick was positive for rabbit syphilis, so naturally I wondered if I could get syphilis from him… haha. As bam mentioned, taking normal precautions wouldn’t hurt.

Extremely unlikely, but it doesn’t hurt to refrain from kissing him on the nose.
