I have two rabbits, Fliss 1 year female and Eze 4 year male (we think).

We have a large cage made out of those modular shelving cubes. They’re in it when we’re asleep or at work but other than that the cage is always open. Eze however hardly ever comes out.

We moved house and it’s now hard wood floor which he hates so we put some rugs down. He went out on the rugs sometimes and liked to lay on the sofa but now he hardly ever leaves his cage, maybe only 10/15 mins a day, max. But Fliss is always out and about.

He is very shy and a huge scaredy cat so I think that has something to do with it. He was a rescue and I’m not sure what his living condidtions were like before. But he never Binkies and just likes to sleep a lot. I understand that could be his age but does anyone think something might be wrong? I’m worried he’s sad and has like bunny anxiety (sorry if that sounds silly).

It’s not silly. I understand you moved houses and he is four so he is a little older witch could explain why he sleeps so much and as for not coming out of his cage it’s a newer environment and his cage is the place he feels safe in so he may come out eventually he is probably just afraid right now and would much rather stay somewhere more in his comfort zone.
