Hey fellow bunny-minions!

I have a Netherland Dwarf bunny that is TINY and escapes everything. My husband surprised me with her for Christmas and I think she was *just* old enough to leave the nest. He knows nothing about rabbits except that I used to have a Jersey Woolie and was so heartbroken when she passed away that I couldn’t even talk about it. I am so happy to have her but underestimated her cheekiness!

Right now she is kept in a cat carrier with the locking metal gate-front when she can’t be supervised. I’ve got my bedroom bunny proofed, except she can squeeze herself under my bedroom door! I have tried blocking it off with various things — first blankets, then wood, etc. Idk how she does it but it’s like POOF! One time I found she somehow traded places with the cat… still haven’t figured how the cat ended up in the kennel and she was in the living room. 

Which brings me to this — how do I bunny-proof the living room with her tiny size in mind?

Does anyone have any experience with this? Tips? Tricks?

I was putting her in my dog’s mid-sized kennel in the living room while she adjusted to everyone since she was very shy but she popped through the grid somehow and thinks she runs the place! I have no idea how she fit through there.

Do I just wait for her to get bigger?

Long term goal is to have her own dog-kennel-turned-bunny-hideout so she can have a break when she needs it and also so I can put her up if need be, but otherwise she can run the house as she sees fit. Also, the cat thinks she is some sort of stupid kitten and keeps chirping at her, licking her, and sometimes acts like she wants to pick her up by the scruff so I am not 100% keen on them and would like the ability to separate. Everybody else gets along great!
