Jenny, Gina and Mini all change shade with each moult, Jenny went darker this time and Mini has gone lighter, so probs nothing to do with winter, diet or anything external?

GJ, I’m always surprised with how healthy your buns look, they’re all so shiny and bright!

We’re only 5 days into the new year, but I think this is going to be my video of the year. At night Breintje always snuggles up to me, waiting for his blankie and when I put my hand on his back he drifts off. Today was an exceptionally long sleep for him: 3 full minutes with lots of twitches and ear movements. Sweet bunny dreams, I wonder what they dream about?

Sorry about the poor lighting and occasionally shaky cam, it was completely unplanned but I’m so glad I managed to record it. I pressed my phone to my chest and tried to sit as still as possible. That massive field of black are my super sexay old black PJ’s, so I’m glad the camera just turned them into a black blob ^_^

Aw, Breintje’s little ears are quite active in sleep! lol. I love the little quivers the face makes when they are sleeping. Especially the “wibble lips”.

GJ, Podge looks great! He looks like he has something to say there. You know, I have seen bunnies fur appear lighter, right before a moult. I suppose the fur has aged. Ive heard of black rabbits having their fur turn brown/orange colour right beforehand. The seasonal darker fur I must have been thinking of is for pointed rabbits. Like the himalayans and californians and some of the siamese-marked rabbits.

@Mimzy, those are cute!  You did so well!!  I think I am behind on the latest with your rabbits, by the looks of things. 

Well, here is a white rabbit submission, for beginning of the month. A snapshot on the phone from last night. I had to laugh as it appears Ailis has a cleavage. 

Ive been letting her and TimTim meet lately. Some visits with all of us sitting in the bathroom. It’s been pretty uneventful and they get bored. There was some grooming.  I tried in a spare room 2 days ago and it was different. More tendency to react when they came face to face.

Im not really certain if I will move to bonding..  it was more to see if they each wanted company of another rabbit.  They both seem indifferent to it. Who really knows with these guys.

Bonding is going well, there is definitely still some question about who is dominant tho :/ they need to figure it out because they’re so stinking cute when they’re loving on each other.

Jerseygirl – The Californian is my foster rabbit. I named him Dax (Which kinda grew to becoming Daxton lol) & then the little one is mine, Runa LaRue. She has 2 names because I loved them both! They are not bonded yet since Dax is not technically mine at the moment & Runa is not spayed but they get along pretty well for the most part unless they are out in my room together, then Dax seems to get annoyed of Runa So they stay separated with 2 xpens between them. I caught them nonchalantly nipping at each other It’s funny how they do it cuz they almost make it look like they’re just grooming each other through the bars but they’re little non-aggressive looking nips at each other’s noses like they’re trying to hide it from mom

This was Dax when they first found him. He was found at a construction site covered in oil He also had blisters on his feet which the hair no longer grows on those spots. Now he’s got a beautiful white coat like he should have & has no more oil!

Also, I’ve been having a bit of fun with photoshoots lately because Runa is so good with them! I don’t have Dax in them much because he hates it, he’s much happier staying in his cage

LPT, I love Elara’s little name garland, it’s beautiful

As promised in the chat thread, here’s some pics. First we have Jasper in her cute little onesie. lol. She’s been great about wearing it, but if it’s off even for less than 5 minutes she goes straight for licking her incision, so it’s on pretty much 24/7.

Here we have the rearranged bunny fun zone. The condo used to have the long edge against the wall, but now I have the short edge against the wall and the long edge essentially acts as a room divider. The top shelf where the bunny’s are is where Apollo got stuck, lol. Luna joined him up there after a few hours for moral support, but then she got stuck too.  I had to rescue both of them. They’re fine now, up and down all day long. They also have a new bendy bridge and I got to throw away the way too old multicoloured one, now they have a natural one.

More pics. I upgraded the corflute on the bunny cage today. Something I’ve been meaning to do for a long time but never got around to. It was a bit more important now that the hay rack side of the cage is exposed to the room, I managed to find some transparent corrugated plastic for a cheap price, which is nicer because it still lets light through and I can still see the buns. I bought two panels but have only used one so far. Previously I had it on the outside of the grids, but this time I’ve put it on the inside, all the the edges are out of reach except one, hopefully they don’t chew that. I wasn’t able to put it all the way to the base on the one side because then I wouldn’t have fit the litter trays in side by side, they barely squeeze in as it is.

Anyway, here’s lots of needless photos of what I did. In my previous post you can see a sort of before pic with the white corflute.

I;ll never get over Luna’s crazy-cute ears. Apollo is looking spiffy, I must say. I wouldn’t guess he was moulting from these photos.

I use a piece as a door barrier. It’s great and more rigid then corflute. I also like how it allows light and it’s cute to see the buns when they come right up close to it. It reminds me a little of the stuff on hologram prints.

Thanks everyone, I’m quite enjoying the new setup myself, it’s nice I can be closer to the buns when they’re lounging in their condo without having to step into the pen.

JG I’m not sure if it’s Sunlite, it’s Suntuf brand but the label just calls it a multi wall polycarbonate sheet. But it’s basically tough corflute that’s clear. Definitely loving it

LittlePuffyTail I have wanted to comment about Elara way before I even joined. She seriously has the most epic ears and I can’t get enough of them!! She sounds like she has a heck of a personality as well. You are lucky to have each other.
