Hi everyone, my bunny, Moo, always misbehave when he is out of pellets. He’s a 7 pound, neutered bunny and  I give him 1/2 cup of pellets a day, but he finishes it so quickly and always demands for more. He will follow me around and nip at my feet and begin chewing at the walls and furniture as well as the rug until I give him more pellets or veggies. He always has a constant supply of hay and also gets 2 cups fresh veggies everyday. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop him from acting out like this?

Behavioral extinction probably, haha. If you’re giving into the nipping, it’s reinforcing him to continue to act out in order to get the pellets. If you stay persistent (which I know is very hard to do!), it may lessen this behavior over time. A lot of rabbits beg for food, and a good strategy to keep begging behavior in check is keeping a really regimented food schedule — no exceptions. Wick’s body clock is programmed to the food schedule, and even if he begs 5 minutes earlier, he gets nothing until it’s actually time.
