Hi guys. I recently bought a variety bag of kaytee, which contains five small hay bags. Each bag is a different flavor, I’m not sure if it matters or if one flavor could be worse than another, but the flavors are carrot, cranberries, marigolds, mangos, and mint. I didn’t realize they were flavored when I bought them, and I don’t want to feed them anything I’m not sure about. Thanks!

Those are the hays with goodies mixed in, right? Depends on the goodie. I don’t think mint or marigolds will be any problem. Carrots can be fattening but one small bag should be fine. That leaves the fruit flavors. I would skip the mango as they have a lot of sugar. One poster here accidentally gave his bun hay with papaya mixed in and got a case of poopy butt. Cranberries have a lot less sugar and might be ok if they don’t have added sugar (check ingredients).

Tldr mint, marigold, carrots fine; mango no; cranberry maybe.

Agree with Flemish Dad. The mango and the cranberry hay could be given as an occasional treat perhaps, depending on how much mango there actually is.
