Many of us purchased holiday gifts for our rabbits, so I am curious how your rabbits reacted!

Wick was gifted the “Bunny Blast” rolling chew toy. On its own, Wick doesn’t care about it, as he doesn’t chew on anything recreationally; however, we created cardboard hole covers for him to yank off to get treats/pellets, and that has made it a great food engagement toy!

Vilde had 1 pack of Science Selective Forest Sticks and one pack of Woodland Rings. The Forest sticks are 25% fiber, the Rings are 15%. The sticks are really big so he couldn’t get a whole stick in one sitting. Both the (pieces of) sticks and the (halved) rings get snatched out of my hand, so I take it they are Vilde-approved.

Vilde specifically asked for “edibles only” this Christmas. (Oddly enough my dog had the same request!) On Christmas Eve he had dill. It was probably the first time he had had dill. The dill was met with deep suspicion, and remained untouched all evening. On Christmas Morning it was gone though. Subsequent twigs of dill have been readily accepted ?

I got Blossom and Thumper some toddler “stack” bowls that came with covers for the bowls and they were chewing and tossing them all over, especially the bowl with the pellets and cover on them. XD Thumper got his cover off and somehow got water all over the pellets and I didn’t notice until a little bit ago. XD I think they were a hit.

Chewie’s grandpa built him a ridiculously and unnecessarily large fort comprised of two connecting tunnels and two boxes. Chewie loves running up and down the wood tunnel (all untreated birch and poplar) but pretty much ignores the boxes. But he used to run just the same in the space where the tunnel now is, so… meh.

He also got a carboard box to replace his old one. He enjoys it, thank goodness, since it’s what I aways use to abduct him for harnessing or visits to other parts of the house (easy to just pick him up in a cardboard box).

His new treat ball is iffy and requires too much work so he makes me shake the treats out for him.

His carrot patch toss-a-carrot treat game he ignores because he figured out how to get the treats without bothering to remove the little wood carrots.

His stacking cups are apparently invisible.

The jury’s still out on the hay manger. I’m working on changing his litterbox setup this week, and the manger will be a part of it, so we’ll see.

Don’t know why I bother. His beachball, petting hands, and food is all he really wants.
