Hi Guys it’s Olly, I got a little problem, My Mummy noticed a lump on my neck, she checked it to find out its just food, she tried to remove it but I got angry and won’t let my Mummy even stroke me near it, do you think Mummy should leave it till tomorrow and try with a damp cloth? I don’t have a bath, Veterinary said not to give me a bath.
Thank you love from Olly xxx

I’m not sure what type of food would be caught in your bun’s fur, but my bun (very rarely) gets squishy poo on his bottom – and then it dries. You shouldn’t pull stuff like that out, because it will take fur with it and hurt your bunny.

A warm wet washcloth can do the trick, but if that alone doesn’t work, I suggest using a soft oil to help dissolve it before coming back with the warm wet washcloth to gently wipe it off. I reccomend diluting a pure coconut oil with 25%-30% water. Most other essential oils can be bad for their skin and cause problems.

Also, as precaution, when using oil directly on a rabbit’s skin, it’s necessary to keep it away from their mouth and eyes as it can possibly cause irritation and inflammation if it is ingested or accidentally rubbed into the eyes.

          Hope this helps! ?
