        Hey guys

New here but been lurking for a while, and have learned so much.
A bit of info, I’m a grandma( my kids bunnies) of two 6 month old Holland lops.
We bought them from a breeder and bought 2 girls….after a surprise litter we well have
Boy and girl. We just had boy(ash aka ashes) neutered today. He came home at 6:30 PM(California). He’s eating, pooping already and just keeps stretching out to sleep. I’ve been checking on him as he as external sutures. He’s in a separate home than his girl(jimin).

Anyways, I’m exhausted but keep getting up to check on him. Is he okay to leave in his bed for the night? Additionally, we have to leave on Sunday to do a run around trip to get out son. It’s 5 hrs there 5 hrs back. I’m worried he will try to chew his sutures. I have a friend I can ask to come check on him but she won’t be able to stay. Would he be okay? Or should I have someone come over?

I’m a bit of a nervous first time bunny gma. I love these two floppity boppities like there is no tomorrow. I did try to search but that function is down and I went back 5 pages

Thanks from Jimin and Ash’s gma

          Certainly. Get some sleep!
The boys usually recover pretty well after neuter. They may even start eating food again the same night.

Hopefully he will be in the morning before you need to leave. You could have a friend look in on him, if it gives peace of mind. I wouldn’t think you’d need someone there the entire time you are absent though.

For future reference, if you want to search topics here, you can use google or another search engine. Just type site:binkybunny.com in the search box along with a key word. Hope that helps.
