        Hi everyone,

First time posting here! I just adopted a 9 month old holland lop last Sunday. Today I noticed he has a weird white spot in his right eye? I’m not sure I’ve noticed it before today, but I also may have just not been looking very well. Could this be a scratch or something more serious? He’s acting fine, eating well and playing and pooping plenty! I’m just a little concerned as a first time bun mom, and didn’t know if anyone had dealt with something similiar before. I would appreciate any input, thanks!

Here’s a link to some pictures I took tonight, but I’m not sure the white spot is easy to see in them.

The best bet is to have a rabbit vet exam it. If you just adopted him, he should have a vet examination anyways!

But it looks like what Wick has, which is a small injury from a hay strand; however that was determined by his rabbit vet.

he looks exactly like my boy Asriel! Twins! And super cute obviously you can see him on instagram @asriel_and_bombur

I agree with Wick. Since you just got him definitely take him to the vet anyways just to give him a full check and make sure he’s overall healthy. Also with eyes, it’s always good to get a vet opinion. it could be anything.

Lenny goes to the vet next week! I’m hoping it’s just an injury from a strand of hay and not anything serious

I agree with the others, it could be many things. A vet can stain the eye to see if its a corneal lesion, in which case you, as a rule, treat with antibiotics.
