It was only when I was holding the baby and we were all sitting on the ground together so I was just wondering if you guys thought that it’s because the baby is so small and closer to his size so he wasn’t scared, or do you think it’s because I was holding the baby? I’m just super curious because I thought he’d be scared of the baby too!!
Hi
I would say it’s abit of both. because you were all on the ground closer to his level. Rabbits prefere being on the ground than being held (where your friends trying to pick him up?) so he probably felt more stable on the ground. Also because you were holding the child. Your scent would be on the child and yr rabbit associates this as being safe (scents are very important to rabbits!) so this is why the rabbit alowed the child to pet the rabbit as your scent was on him and he felt more secure on the floor (eg able to flee if he wanted, investigate stuff etc.)
