I just got home from the vet with nemo, I put him in his new recovery area but he’s trying to bite his way out of the pen and he’s pushing his face in between the bars. I’m so stressed already I don’t know what to do someone please help. He free roams my room usually and he hates being confined. He has toys, hay basically everything that’s supposed to be there but he’s still doing it. No m I really don’t know what to do. Please if you read this I really need help right now, I don’t want him to get hurt.

He might be in pain. Did the vet give you any meloxicam? He should have some for 2 or 3 days worth since males heal way faster than females. He’s also probably angry that he’s locked up. In a day or so he should be able to roam( not completely but more than a pen) and then he will be able to be back to free roam

They only gave me some kind of food mix I think, with like vegetables so he would eat but they didn’t give me any meds unless they mixed it in which they didn’t say they did so what am I supposed to do

I’d go back and get pain meds. My boys were on pain meds for at least 2-3 days after the surgery because it is pretty painful for them.

I will talk to the vet then but is it normal for the buns to like excessively clean or something? Nemo’s cleaning or biting can’t really tell but he’s doing something. he rolls over sometimes because he’s doing it

At his neuter site? He really shouldn’t be doing that. It can lead to an infection, and he’s likely doing it because he’s in pain. I’d take him back in to make sure it’s not infected.

He is likely cleaning excessively because he’s in pain/discomfort. Defo get pain relief.
