Hello, so I have 2 male bunnies. When I only had Jake we were good friends he licked me once since I’ve had him. I got him on 13 June 2018. We were very good friends (he wasn’t free roamed). Later on I saw he was pretty lonely, then I decided to get another bun in 28 July. Jake was fairly happy but kept bumping on Bobo. We weren’t so close anymore neither with Bobo. Then Bobo and Jake started loving each other licking every day, cuddling, but I was left there alone (I’ve never had a problem with them bonding). And they started peeing on my bed(and even now on 12 December peed), then got them both neutered. Now it’s about 6,7 months since I have them and 3 and a half since they were neutered.

They kind of hate me now or are afraid and I wanna go back to the times where we were all cuddly. Also I left them at my grand parents for about 1/2 weeks. Any tips would be so very helpful!

          Hi there,

I think it helps to just go back to the steps you did when you first bonded with them. It sounds like they were pretty young when you got them? Young bunnies can be very cuddly, and just like human children, go through a puberty phase where they are less needy.

I think it’s also common to spend less time with your bunny when they are bonded, as you see them taking care of each other.

I would try hand feeding them a lot, spending lots of time on the floor with them, and allowing them to come up to you and explore.

Thank you, I’ll do that and see how it works…
