        Hello again!

I was recently given some incense and a cute little burning apparatus to go with it as a secret santa present. However I don’t really burn anything in any other room of my house except for the lounge, which is also where my buns live. I often burn scented candles and it really doesn’t bother them at all, living in the lounge they are pretty used to hearing, seeing and smelling lots of different things and they are not phased they just lay under the coffee table till its time to play! But I was really wondering whether it’s safe for their health to burn it, and if it’s really any different from burning a candle?

        Thanks!

My only concern would be how strong incense can be as it not only releases an intense smell but also smoke into the air. Rabbits are so sensitive to respiratory changes and problems that I wouldn’t take the risk, even if your rabbits seem okay with candles and other scents. I’m also biased because incense tickles my nose and makes my allergies kick in so I can only imagine a rabbit’s nose would be much more susceptible to the smell.

I agree with pink. I would not use incense. I actually love incense but have not used it or even scented candles in any part of the house since having bunnies. Along with the smell, I think the smoke would be upsetting to them, if not harmful.
