So, my rabbit (about a year and a half old), didn’t really like any hay I bought him. On Amazon, I found that Carefresh Hay was cheap, so I figured that cheap was good since he wasn’t eating the expensive stuff much.  Well, he loved the stuff. He loved the thick shoots and the seeded tops.  I’ve bought it faithfully and then found it often running out… then checked their website and found that they quit making it.  Does anyone know of another hay that is similar?  He just looooooves the thick pieces.  I may be able to get a small bag or two before they’re all gone, but now they’re charging the same price for bags half the size of what I was getting

Do you have a tractor supply store nearby? Their hay is usually hard and stalky with seed heads so you should give it a try.

Hmmm, i’m not sure, but there are several brands that offer different cuts. I think that first cut is usually the type with lots of seeded tops.

My buns are not picky, so take this with a grain of salt, but they really loved the oat hay I ordered from this site, and they also really love the hay from Sierra Valley Hay.

Oxbow also has a wide range of cuts and hay types, so maybe try small amounts of different types?

Small Pet Select offers first cut, I believe. Lots of stalk and seed head.
