        Hi guys,

I’ve had my bunny daisy for 3 years now, and I have noticed that she is suddenly flopping a lot more. Relaxing with her feet out behind her and her chin flat on the floor. Last week she flipped on her side and it wasn’t until I was about 3 inches from her face that she actually moved. I thought she had passed away because she was so still. She is usually really skittish, even after being with me for 3 years, she is spayed, and I haven’t changed anything in her cage, or environment lately. Do you think I should take her for a check up just to make sure everything is okay?

If you have any doubts, by all means. But it sounds to me like she’s simply happy and relaxed and feels comfortable enough to show it this way now.

It is always good to ask the opinion of a vet.

As i know from my bunny that is a happy reaction. just let herself fall on one side and rub the carpet with her face )

I agree with Q8. Sounds like she’s happy

Annabelle was an occasional flopper at our house, but when i take her to my parents house (im a university student), from day one she started flopping all the time and everywhere!!

I think that how much a bun flops changes for reasons unknown to us hoomins, but i dont think its a sign somethings wrong. Anna sometimes wont role out of her flop and instead will stay on her back eyes closed paws in the air for a while. Looks scary but shes definitely relaxed, and im sure your bun is too!

When my husband came home from work today he called me into the living room to tell me the bunny had died, but he’d just flopped out on the carpet and was deeply asleep haha. I love seeing him that happy, but it really looks like he’s died.
