Hi everyone! Plenty of us have read multiple guides on proper-bunny proofing, and there’s always something you do not expect your bunny to chew, but ultimately does. If you want, I think it would be interesting if we list one or a few things your bunny has unexpectedly chewed.

(I’m thinking this thread may be helpful for anyone looking into bunny-proofing. Of course all rabbits will not chew the same things, but if we share a few things amongst each other, perhaps others can use the listed items in mind, when solidifying space for their bunnies).

I did not expect my rabbit to chew:
        -remote buttons
        -suitcase fabric
-wicker laundry hamper (I probably should have seen that one coming)

          Love the idea!

Mine love any kind of cords, folders, papers, and anything electronic that they can fit in their mouth

              Besides the expected (cords, etc):

              -Trim/baseboards/windowsills
              -Wall corners (drywall)
              -Couch cushions
-Literally any paper they can reach (including toilet paper….)
              -Sandal straps

I do my best to bunny proof, but I’ve gotten to the point where I’m resigned to them slowly destroying everything I own! Haha

                Elara has chewed/destroyed:

                My couch and loveseat
Couch covers purchased to hide the holes in above mentioned couch and loveseat
The corner of our living room rug
Many, many blankets (she bites little holes in them and spits out the fabric)
                2 Toy Dinosaurs
1 My Little Pony figurine (my daughter was really upset about that one)
                Many crayons
                Many colouring book pages/book corners

I’m sure I will think of others…..Her nickname is “The Naughty Nibbler.”

                  -baby’s pacifier
-rubber trim on the bottom of the baby’s bouncer
                  -erasers
-kids rubber kindle case (…there’s a trend here)
                  -also crayons and colouring books
                  -wicker baskets

Our cats and bunny team up and conspire against us. The cats are always knocking things off the table and counters and the bunny happily chews them up in the night.
