Hi I am getting my friend to help me build a new bottom to my bunz metal cage. What metal should he use also animal safe selects to prevent rusting and bottom corrosion that is animal friendly. Thank you

Stainless steel?? Im really not certain! I just thinking of the ss sheets you can buy for kitchen splashbacks or benchtops…

Is the cage outdoors and exposed to the elements? Or was the old base prone to rust from urine and spilt water?

I was thinking similarly to baking sheets/pans. They go through a lot and seem generally OK, haha.

Do you have plans to put something on top of the metal for comfort?

It’s an indoor cage. His urin is what deteriorated his current cage bottom. The company who made it must not have sealed it properly. He currently has woodchip bedding as he was a rescue and it’s what hes use to.
