  As Gizmo is settling in, his personality is starting to show. Though he’s less of a chewer than the bunny I had in the past, he is such a nosy busy body! It’s kind of adorable. He’s got to know what’s going on at every second, and he’s started exploring more. This is great, but I feel like he’s getting into things he shouldn’t because his toys aren’t engaging enough. I have a willow ball he loves to throw and chew, a cat toy ball that makes noise when it rolls, a cardboard box with slats of cardboard in it for digging and chewing, a tunnel he loves to run through and explore, and about once a week I like to give him a toilet paper roll stuff with hay and a treat that he has to get open. I know I can’t stop him from doing certain things because it’s just his instinct and his nature, but I’m wondering if I could give him more stuff to engage with, and if so, what would be good. I would love any suggestions!

  I made this toy for my bun the other day. it’s a muffins-tray that I made little cardboard lids for. The lids have “handles” made from cardboard strips. You place a treat or normal pellets under each lid.
  
  In order for the toy to be any sort of challenge you need to hold it firm against the floor. I didn’t at first and my bun just grabbed one corner of the muffins tray and shook the whole thing so lids and pellets flew all over the place. I was proud of course, because it proved he is a very smart bunny. I was a tiny bit disappointed too though, because it took me like 30 minutes to make the lids and he needed 0.5 seconds to figure it out!
  
  Anyway, when I held the toy against the floor he had to figure out how to pick up the lids by the handles, and he did that beautifully, just like he’s supposed to.
