        Hi guys,
I just got my bunny spayed yesterday and since the surgery, she had her right eye closed halfway since. It looked like there was gunk on it so I tried wiping it with a soft wet towel, but it didn’t really work, the vet said that it could be because of the rabbit laying on her side throughout the surgery, and that it would go away in a couple of days. However, I’m still pretty worried. Anyone has the same experience that you could share with me?

And my bunny is really eating much as well it’s been 24 hours, although her poop and pee seems fine, not too much but they are there.

I’m not sure about the eye,
          You can do warm
Compresses. Did the vet give you any pain meds? The vet should have and they should have have you critical care to feed her. Are you feeding her that? You need to kee her gi tract moving or she can go into stasis

I read that you should offer even favorite treats just to get the rabbit to start eating. I gave mine a few raisins, oats & black oil sunflower seeds. Once she began to nibble on those I threw some in a straw hat with meadow hay so she had to eat bits of hay to get to the treats. I also gave her plenty of parsley everyday. The 3rd & 4th day after her spay she stopped drinking water, but she got enough from the parsley.
I don’t know about her eye. If it were me, I would leave it alone & just watch for it to hopefully get better.
            Good luck!

Also, my vet gave no pain meds for after & said not to rush into critical care. Monday is 2 weeks since her spay & she seems back to complete normal. She was almost complete normal after a full week. Just takes time, love & care it seems. At least for most buns.

How is your bunny’s eye? Normal I hope!
