So my bunny is scheduled for his neuter next week and so far from what Ive read males recover a lot quicker than females so that is calming my nerves a little but I still have a couple questions that I cant seem to find answers to.
Im wondering if he will be able to get into his litter box right away, its pretty low all around he doesnt really have to hop up high to get in, or should I get potty pads to place around just in case he cant get in right away? Or were your bunnies using the litter box right away normally?
Ive seen many people say their bunnies are back to normal the next day, was this true for you guys as well?
Also what are some things you did to be prepared for your bunny coming home other than cleaning the area he/she will be in until theyre ready to be let free roam?
Thanks in advance for your help! ??

Litter box is totally fine. It depends on the bunny really and how well they bounce back. My boys were neutered the same day and stayed at the vet till the following evening. Bombur was very excited and jumpy, and Az was taking a bit to shake off the effects of the drugs and anesthesia. I think the best thing you can do is just give them some extra love, by their favorite treats and greens, and just make sure they’re comfortable

You just have To make sure they’re environment doesn’t get too dirty! We wouldn’t want a post-surgery infection so please keep a close eye on the incision sites
