I just saw on the chewy site a rabbit heating pad. Steel capped wires and all that so looks legit but I’ve never heard of anyone using these. Do any of you have any experience with these? How did you rabbit feel about them?? Would love to spoil her with one of these if it seems worth it!

Not used one, I wouldn’t unless a Vet said too, bunnies can get too hot, they have a fur coat for winter, it’s sometimes difficult to tell if a bunny is too warm and he or she could get very poorly, Olly has lots of Blankets so if he does get too hot he can move them, I put the heating on if it is very cold for 20 minutes then I use my heat pad for myself, bunnies can survive tempratures that are very cold, I used to live in the countryside and early in the morning I used to see bunnies playing in the snow when I drove passed the fields in my bus, there were bunnies playing in the snow having fun, but I did see Olly in January build a little burrow with his hay when it started snowing, it’s more natural, lots of hay and blankets is best, I think.

I don’t know anything about that particular one but Snuggle Safe heat pads are quite popular. I got one for my rabbits for their recovery after they were spayed and neutered but they weren’t too interested. Buttercup just laid around the pad. I ended up donating it but I think I’ll buy another one for this Winter. The rabbits might decide they like it as it’s been a while lol. Anyway, I think heat pads are nice to have as an option. Although bunnies can survive in colder temperatures, it doesn’t necessarily mean it would be comfortable for them. And healthy bunnies would be able to move away from the pad if they get too hot anyway.
